Overages FAQs

Frequently asked questions about overages and how they work.

How do I change my overage limit?

Overages are only available to RB2B Pro and Pro+ users on a monthly subscription.

To set or change your overage limit, visit the Credit Usage page or click Subscription Details in your sidebar menu.

Enable or change overages

  • Click Enable Overages, Bill Me for Additional Credits on the right-hand side of the screen.

  • An input window will appear. Enter the number of additional credits you are comfortable paying for each month.

  • The new overage limit will be set automatically.

  • Note: If you are changing this number mid-cycle, you cannot set it lower than the number of overage credits already used in the cycle.

If your account was out of credits when you enabled overages, ensure that you reactivate your tracking script β€” it will not automatically reactivate itself. At the top of the Subscription Details page, ensure that Script Status is set to Enabled.

Disable overages

  • Click Disable Collection Until Next Billing Cycle to stop using more credits than your current tier allows.

  • Note: If you have already used overage credits for the billing cycle, you cannot disable overages until the billing cycle resets.

  • To prevent further spend, set your overage limit to your current usage and revisit the page when your billing cycle resets to disable overages.

Adding or increasing overages after reaching your credit limit

If your account has already reached its credit limit and you add or increase your overages to resume collection, you will also need to:

  • Navigate to your Dashboard

  • At the top right of the window, toggle Script Status from Disabled to Enabled

At what rate are overages charged?

The overage rate depends on your monthly RB2B Pro plan:

  • Pro subscribers using fewer than 1,000 credits: overages are charged at $0.85 per credit.

  • Pro subscribers using 1,000 credits or more: discounted rate of $0.45 per credit.

Free accounts and annual Pro subscriptions are not eligible for overages.

How are usage overages calculated and billed?

Usage overages are only available to accounts on a monthly subscription. Overages are calculated at the end of your monthly billing cycle and added to your subscription fee for the following month, ensuring you are billed accurately based on actual usage.

If you anticipate frequent overages, consider upgrading your plan to better match your needs.

Can I set a limit to avoid overages?

Yes. You can set an overages threshold in your account settings to manage and control additional charges.

How can I check the history of changes made to my overage limit?

Visit the Credit Usage page or click Subscription Details in your sidebar menu. In the Overages section, click View History.

The Credit Overages Change Log shows a full list of changes in a table with six columns:

  • Overage: Whether overages are enabled or disabled.

  • Max Credits: The value your overages were set to.

  • User: The email address of the user who made the change.

  • Date: The date and time the change was made.

  • IP: The IP address of the user who made the change.

  • UserAgent: Information about the device used to make the change.
