Frequently Asked Questions
How do I subscribe to the free plan?
To subscribe to the Free plan, navigate to your Subscription Details page then click the Change Your Plan button and select Downgrade Plan. The Free is only accessible via this route.
What changed in January on the free plan?
On January 22nd, 2026 the Free plan will no longer offers unmasked contact-level (person-level) resolution. RB2B will still resolve individual visitors but they will appear as a company-level visitor. To unmask that information users must upgrade to a paid.
Why doesn’t the Free plan include person-level identity?
Person-level identity is the most resource-intensive part of RB2B to deliver, both in terms of data costs and infrastructure. When it was fully available on the Free plan, it removed the incentive to ever move into a paid tier, which limited our ability to sustainably invest in and improve the product.
The Free plan is intentionally designed as an introductory experience that allows teams to validate signal quality and traffic value without cost.
What is the purpose of the Free plan?
The Free plan provides company-level identification and basic visibility into which organizations are visiting your site and how often. It’s meant to help teams answer foundational questions like:
Is my site receiving relevant B2B traffic?
Are the companies visiting a good fit for my business?
Is there enough signal here to justify deeper insight?
It’s a lightweight way to evaluate RB2B before unlocking more advanced capabilities.
Are there differences in the quality of leads between the Free and Pro plans?
No, the quality of leads is the same for both Free and Pro plans. RB2B uses identical identification methods for all users.
However, there are differences in the information provided.
Paid subscriptions (Starter, Pro, and Pro+) include the following information that the Free plan does not:
Name
LinkedIn URL
Business email addresses
Job title
Company information (aside from name)
Page view history
If I upgrade from the Free plan to a paid plan, do I unlock hidden profile information?
Yes. When you upgrade from the Free plan to a paid plan, previously identified visitors are automatically enriched with full profile details based on your new plan’s coverage, including contact information, firmographics, and visit history where available.
What happens when I downgrade to the free plan on RB2B, and what are the refund policies?
RB2B provides straightforward processes for downgrading your subscription. This guide explains what happens when you switch to the free plan, as well as how billing and refunds are handled in the event of post-downgrade charges. Immediate Downgrade Processing
Managing Unused Credits When Downgrading
When downgrading from a paid subscription to the free plan, unused credits are typically forfeited immediately. In some cases, credits may remain for up to one month, but these will not roll forward and must be used within that period. Refunds for unused credits are not provided. To avoid losses, it's recommended to review the credit policy and strategically plan your downgrade date. When you select the free plan on RB2B, the downgrade is processed instantaneously. The moment your downgrade request is completed and confirmed, your free plan becomes active immediately. No further steps are required. Handling Post-Downgrade Billing Issues
Effects on Paid Features Upon Downgrade
Downgrading to the free plan results in the loss of all premium features associated with a higher-tier subscription. Ensure that you have fully utilized these features before initiating the downgrade.
If you downgrade from a paid plan to the Free plan, access to contact-level details is removed. Previously identified visitors will appear only at the company level, and personal details such as names, emails, LinkedIn URLs, job titles, and page view history will no longer be visible unless you upgrade again.
Timing Your Downgrade Effectively
To maximize the value of your subscription, consider downgrading closer to your renewal date. This approach allows you to utilize premium features and credits fully before making the switch. If you notice a charge after downgrading to the free plan, it may indicate that the downgrade request was not finalized or confirmed. It's important to ensure that you complete every step in the downgrade process to avoid such issues. RB2B does not issue refunds for unused time or credits if you choose to downgrade in the middle of your billing cycle.
