Is there a minimum number of website visitors required to sign up for RB2B?
There is no minimum visitor count requirement to use RB2B. Bear in mind that RB2B can identify about 40–45% of your US-based traffic on average. If you don't have a lot of traffic from the United States, you shouldn't expect to see high volumes of identified visitors.
Does the free version produce less or different leads than the paid version?
No, there is no difference in the quality or frequency of leads between the free and paid versions of RB2B. Both versions identify the same visitors at the same rate. The main differences between free and paid lie in additional features — integrations, advanced filtering, and access to business email addresses — which are available on paid plans.
What can cause an email to bounce?
The emails we provide come from trusted sources, and we have a strong level of confidence in their accuracy. While no dataset is perfect, it's unlikely that incorrect email addresses are a widespread issue.
If an email bounces, it's more often due to how it was sent rather than the validity of the address itself. Common reasons for bounces include:
Unknown email or invalid address — the recipient's email doesn't exist or was mistyped.
Spam filter triggers — the email content, links, or sender details may have set off spam defences.
Blacklisted sender — the IP address, sending email, or domain is flagged on a blocklist.
Email subject or content issues — certain words, phrases, or formatting can cause rejection.
Attachment restrictions — many providers block emails with attachments from unknown senders.
Policy filtering — the recipient's email system has specific rules that rejected the message.
Server misconfiguration — either the sender's or recipient's mail server is not set up correctly.
Full inbox — the recipient's mailbox has reached its storage limit.
Greylisting — a temporary rejection where the recipient's server asks the sender to try again later.
Overloaded recipient server — the receiving mail server is experiencing heavy traffic.
Low sender reputation — if the sending domain or IP has a poor reputation, messages may be rejected.
If you're seeing a high bounce rate, it may help to review your email sending practices and ensure your domain, IP, and content align with best practices. RB2B also runs email validation on all addresses before sharing them — more information here.
Why are so many of my website visitors not in my ICP?
If you're seeing a large number of visitors identified by RB2B that don't match your Ideal Customer Profile (ICP), that doesn't mean RB2B is getting it wrong — it means RB2B is showing you the real picture of who is actually landing on your site.
RB2B identifies real, verified visitors. If they're outside your ICP, the key question becomes: why are these people finding your site in the first place?
Common reasons visitors aren't in your ICP:
Organic search mismatch — visitors may be arriving through search queries unrelated to your business focus. Check Google Search Console to see what terms are driving traffic and update your SEO strategy if they're not ICP-relevant.
Website content attracting the wrong audience — blog posts, landing pages, or service descriptions may be drawing in unrelated traffic. Review your messaging to ensure it speaks directly to your ICP.
Ad targeting issues — paid ads may be targeting too broadly. Review your ad platform settings to narrow targeting to your ICP.
SEO problems — search engines may be ranking your site for unrelated topics. Audit your meta descriptions, page titles, and headings to align with ICP-focused terms.
Use non-ICP traffic data to refine your SEO keyword focus, tighten ad targeting, and improve site copy. The more your incoming traffic aligns with your ICP, the more valuable RB2B's identification data becomes.
How do I resolve "already in use" errors for domains, emails, or subaccounts?
This error appears when a domain, email address, or subaccount is already associated with an existing RB2B account or subscription — either active or recently deactivated. It serves as a safeguard against duplicate account configurations.
Common causes:
Active account exists — the domain or email is currently linked to an active RB2B account, possibly belonging to a colleague or another department.
Inactive or deactivated account — even after deactivation, the system may retain the association temporarily.
Steps to resolve:
Verify whether the domain or email is linked to an existing account. If so, ask the account holder to remove it from their account or deactivate the association.
Once unlinked, navigate to the Scripts section in RB2B and use the Add a Domain option to add your domain in the correct format (e.g., domain.com).
If the domain was on a deactivated account and can't be manually released, it will be automatically freed after 30 days without any activity or visitor collection.
Domains linked to active subscriptions cannot be reassigned until the subscription is ended or transferred. For unresolved issues, contact RB2B support.
