How to Move Users Between RB2B Accounts

If your organization has multiple RB2B accounts and you need to transfer a user from one account to another, you can do so quickly and securely using the migration process below.

Step 1: Create a Migration Key

Completed by the user who is moving to a new account.

  1. Go to the Users page in your RB2B dashboard:

  2. Find your user profile card and click Create a Migration Key.

  3. A unique 32-character migration key will be generated. This key serves as a secure “unlock code” for your account.

  4. Click Copy to copy the key to your clipboard.

  5. Send this migration key to the account manager of the account you will be joining.

Tip: Treat the migration key like a password—only share it directly with the account manager and avoid sending it through insecure channels.

Step 2: Submit a Migration Request

Completed by the account manager of the destination account.

  1. Go to the Users page in the RB2B dashboard:

  2. On the right-hand side, locate the Migrate an Existing User box.

  3. Paste the migration key provided by the user into the input field.

  4. Click Start User Migration to submit the request.

For security, RB2B will send an email to the user’s original account email address asking them to confirm the migration before any changes take effect.

Step 3: Accept the Migration Request

Completed by the user who is moving.

  1. Open the email from RB2B requesting migration confirmation.

  2. Click Confirm User Migration to finalize the transfer.

Once confirmed, your account will be moved to the new RB2B account and will appear under its Users list.

Important Notes

  • The migration key is valid for a limited time.

  • You cannot reverse a migration without repeating this process in the opposite direction.

  • If the user being moved out of an account is the sole user, the account will close automatically.
