Overview
To move a domain to your OEM account, you delete it from your standard RB2B account, then add it to your OEM account through the OEM API. A domain can only be linked to one active account at a time, so it must be released from your current account before your OEM account can use it.
This guide is for customers joining the RB2B OEM Partner Program who already track a domain in a standard RB2B account. The process takes five steps: remove the domain, remove the standard script, add the domain via the API, install the OEM script, and add a credit card.
Before you start
Whether you need to move your domain depends on the status of your current RB2B account.
Current account status | What happens | Do you need to move the domain? |
Active | Your existing account stays as-is, and a new account is created and converted to OEM. | Yes |
Inactive | Your existing account can be converted directly to OEM. | No |
No account yet | Sign up for free at app.rb2b.com/signup, then book a time with our team to join the OEM program. | No |
An account can be either a standard RB2B account or an OEM account, never both. If you want to keep using standard RB2B on some sites, you'll need two separate accounts.
Instructions
Step 1: Remove the domain from your current account
Deleting the domain from your standard account releases it so your OEM account can add it.
In your RB2B dashboard, select Script from the sidebar, or go to app.rb2b.com/script.
Find the domain and click the trash can icon to the right of its name.
Confirm by clicking Yes, Delete.
Important: Deleting a domain immediately stops tracking on it under your current account, and this action can't be undone.
Delete the domain rather than canceling your account. A canceled account still counts as active if it has collected data in the past 30 days. If you cancel without deleting the domain first, your OEM account may not be able to add it until that 30-day window passes.
Step 2: Remove the standard RB2B script from your site
Remove the standard RB2B script from your site before installing the OEM script. The two scripts aren't compatible and can't run on the same site or page. If both are installed, tracking will fail.
Check every place the standard script may have been added, including your site's <head>, your CMS template, and any tag manager such as Google Tag Manager.
Step 3: Add the domain to your OEM account via the API
OEM domains can only be added through the OEM Domain Management API. Domains added any other way are ignored, even if the tracking script is installed.
Step 4: Install your OEM tracking script
Install the OEM script in the <head> of every page you want to track, ideally site-wide through your CMS template or tag manager.
Step 5: Add a credit card
Your OEM account won't receive any visitor profiles until a valid credit card is on file. OEM usage is reconciled and charged at the end of each billing cycle, so a payment method is needed before delivery can start.
Log in to your dashboard.
Click Account Details.
Select Billing & Invoices.
Add a valid credit card.
Once the card is saved, profile delivery begins automatically. If the card later fails or becomes invalid, delivery may pause until billing is resolved.
Frequently asked questions
My OEM account can't add the domain. What should I check?
Make sure the domain has been deleted from your standard account, not just that the account was canceled. A canceled account that collected data in the past 30 days still holds its domains. If the domain was deleted and the API still won't accept it, contact support so we can check whether it's tied to another active account.
The script is installed, but no data is coming through. Why?
Check three things: the domain was added through the API (confirm with the GET /api/v1/domains request), the standard RB2B script has been fully removed, and a valid credit card is on file.
Can I undo deleting a domain from my standard account?
No. Deletion can't be reversed, but you can add the domain back to the standard account later, as long as it isn't in use on another active account.
How do I remove a domain from my OEM account later?
Send a POST request to https://app.rb2b.com/api/v1/delete_domain with the domain in the request body. A successful response returns "domain_deleted": true.
