RB2B identifies person-level visitors located in the United States. Starter, Pro, and Pro+ subscribers also receive company-level identification for visitors from outside the US. This gives you visibility into international B2B web traffic, though it is limited to the organisation level β no person-level profiles are generated for non-US visitors.
This applies to all international markets, including those within the European Union, and is designed to align with GDPR and equivalent privacy frameworks.
Default Behaviour
Global visitor tracking is enabled by default on all Starter, Pro, and Pro+ accounts. No setup or configuration is required β it is active from the moment your account is created.
Managing the Setting
You can disable or re-enable global tracking at any time:
Go to Account Details in the sidebar.
Select Geographical Restrictions, or navigate directly to https://app.rb2b.com/my_account/geo_restrictions.
Enabling International Tracking
If you have previously disabled global tracking and want to turn it back on, you must confirm that your website uses a consent management tool (CMT) β software that captures visitor consent before tracking begins, in line with GDPR, ePrivacy, and similar regulations. RB2B does not enforce consent compliance on your behalf. You are responsible for configuring your CMT correctly and ensuring your privacy policy reflects your use of international tracking, including GDPR opt-out provisions.
Selecting Yes on the Geographical Restrictions page confirms you have this in place.
Credit Usage and Disabling Global Tracking
Company-level identification of international visitors consumes credits the same way US person-level profiles do. If global visitors are not a priority for your business, disabling international tracking is a straightforward way to preserve credits for US person-level identifications, which tend to deliver higher actionability.
To turn off global tracking, visit the Geographical Restrictions page and disable the setting. No credits will be used for international company-level identification while the setting is off.
What Is a Consent Management Tool?
A consent management tool manages visitor permissions on your website, ensuring that tracking only activates after the required consent has been obtained. This is a legal requirement in many international markets. Common examples include OneTrust, Cookiebot, and Usercentrics.
Important Notes
Person-level identification is available for US-based visitors only. International tracking is company-level only.
Enabling international tracking creates regulatory responsibilities. Have your legal or compliance team review applicable requirements before turning it on.
RB2B does not automatically enforce consent compliance. You are responsible for your CMT configuration.
Update your privacy policy to include GDPR opt-out information if you enable international tracking.
Company-level identification applies uniformly across all enabled markets β you cannot enable it for some regions and exclude others.
